SIM IT Procurement Working Group Conducting a Developer Offshore, Onshore and Insite Benchmark Study
There has been upward pressure on the hourly rates of many offshore companies over the past 12-18 months as the market in India and elsewhere continues to mature and grow.
The SIM IT Procurement Working Group (ITPWG) is conducting a Developer Offshore, Onshore and Onsite benchmark study again this year to update the same study done in 2006. We are looking for additional companies that are interested in participating in the study.
The study will look at several levels of development expertise including programmer, senior programmer, analysis and design skill sets. It covers a broad range of technical expertise including various development languages, database expertise, system administrators, portal development and numerous vendor specific skills.
All companies that participate will receive a full report on the study findings. The finished product will not have any distinuguishing factors that could lead to company identification with the data being held in the strictest of confidence. An executive summary will be prepared for SIM membership.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Randy Roth, co-chair of SIM's ITPWG (randy@corporatecontracts.com or (515) 309-5600).
