SIM's Enterprise Architecture Working Group (SIMEAWG), a SIM Community of more than 50 members who identify and share processes, methods, tools, concepts, and best practices to enable IT organizations to better understand, create, and manage EA in partnership with the business, recently released a report from their first IT practices survey to all SIM Members. This survey was created to more fully understand the state of EA in organizations and the perceptions of IT leaders regarding EA. Initial findings provided critical insight into how IT professionals view themselves, their profession, EA's potential, and the state of EA practice in their organizations.
