Sharpen the Leadership Saw Roundtable (SLS)
Please save the date for the next session of the Sharpen the Leadership Saw Roundtable (SLS), a quarterly half-day book and leadership forum offered by the Boston Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) - January 20, 2009 at Analog Devices in Norwood, MA.
This program is offered to all current SIM members and all former SIM RLF graduates who are interested in evolving as a leader. Through discussions of carefully selected books and through speakers who are IS/IT leaders, the roundtable offers you the opportunity to improve your fundamental understanding of “leadership”, and your own personal brand of it. We read one book in advance, discuss the book and another topic, and listen to a guest speaker who is an IS or IT leader like you.
For those of you who yearn to read leadership specific books, this program may be just the little push you need to make it happen. Join us at the next meeting and reconnect with your fellow SIM members and/or expand your network and “sharpen your saw” and practice continuous learning!
The next session is scheduled for January 20, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. until after dinner, and it will be hosted at Analog Devices in Norwood. The book for this session is Man's Search for Meaning, by Victor Frankl. (Please note that the registration cost does not include the cost of the book.)
Registration details:
The cost to attend the SLS Roundtable session is only $50, which includes dinner out following the afternoon meeting. To attend, please register and pay via credit card online by Friday, January 16th: Click here to register..
(If you plan to attend but cannot stay for dinner, please email Kate Carroll, Chapter Administrator for Boston SIM, at kcarroll@bostonsim.org.)
